Autodrop and Autosqueeze
EPS Inc (Ivyland,Pa) has introducedthe Autodrop andAutosqueeze instillationaids for patients who require ophthalmicpreparations but have difficultytaking them. The Autodrop device clipsonto the majority of eyedrop bottles andholds the bottle at the correct angle overthe eye. A small lip holds the lower eyelidopen to prevent blinking, while a uniquepinhole directs the eyesight upward, awayfrom the descending drops. TheAutosqueeze device helps patients withweak or arthritic fingers easily grasp anddispense ophthalmic medication. Theproduct works by simply clipping thedropping bottle into the device andsqueezing to administer the drops.Autodrop and Autosqueeze can be usedtogether to further ease medication dispensing. The products also can be usedthroughout the entire course of therapy. For more information, visit www.medidose.com, or call 800-523-8966.
