Research to Cure Vision and Brain Disorders

This video, part of the National Glaucoma Foundation’s Meet a Researcher series, introduces Miller School of Medicine MD/PhD student Tommy Apara and his research, which focuses on certain types of retinal cells and the reasons they sometimes fail to regenerate. His findings could lead to new therapies for brain and vision disorders, including glaucoma and Alzheimer’s disease.
