PRESS RELEASE
LAKELAND, Fla., June 28, 2016 — Today, Publix was recognized as one of Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Workplaces for Millennials.” Publix ranked No. 74 on this year’s list.
Publix CEO & President, Todd Jones, commented on the honor, “As company founder George Jenkins often said, when you take care of associates, they’ll take care of their customers. Our associates appreciate our culture of caring, and it makes them feel valued as individuals.”
Fortune magazine’s list of the 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials is based on surveys of more than 88,000 millennials employed at more than 600 companies that have been certified as a Great Place to Work. Employees considered the sincerity of managers' support for people's personal and professional lives, how transparent communication is, people's ability to be themselves at work and to invest in their lives outside work, and the meaning they get from their jobs, among many other factors.
