H'E'B has launched a new mobile app built to save shoppers time and money with innovative ways to assemble and manage shopping lists, redeem digital coupons, and research products and recipes. The app is available for download from the Apple iTunes store and the Google Play store, and coincides with the launch of an all'new look for heb.com.
H'E'B's new website and mobile platform integrate features seamlessly from desktop to handheld device.
Cruise Through the Store With Digital Shopping Lists
The H'E'B app introduces a digital shopping list integrated with a product catalog that allows shoppers to:
Shoppers can even email their shopping lists to friends or family members planning a trip to the store. The app automatically organizes the shopping list by each product's in'store location which dramatically speeds up the time it takes to shop.
"The shopping list feature really changes the in'store experience," said Winell Herron, H'E'B Group Vice President of Public Affairs and Diversity. "Because it automatically locates and organizes items according to store layout; that means no more searching aisles or shelves. This is going to be a real time saver for our customers."
There are multiple ways to create and modify shopping lists including uploading receipts, using smart phones to scan product barcodes in the pantry, capturing items from coupons and weekly ads on heb.com, or even building shopping lists from recipes.
Shoppers can create and save multiple shopping lists for specific H'E'B stores and the lists automatically sync between the website and app. When creating lists on heb.com, the product catalogue will even tell shoppers if the item is on sale.
Digital Coupons Save Time and Money
Hundreds of coupons are available on heb.com and the mobile app, and now, H'E'B's weekly ad will be available on the mobile app too. Customers can also sign up to be notified of exclusive digital coupons via text message. With that kind of convenience, shoppers no longer have to remember to bring all of their coupons to the store.
Redeeming digital coupons is simple. All shoppers need to do is select coupons on heb.com or the mobile app, and then redeem them with a mobile phone number or PIN at checkout. No more printing or clipping coupons and the savings are automatically applied to the order at checkout.
Online Product Catalog Has All the Information You Need
With tens of thousands of products to choose from, the online product catalog makes it easy to search H'E'B's products with images, product descriptions, nutritional facts and more. And since every H'E'B store is designed with the neighborhood it serves in mind, shoppers can see whether their favorite H'E'B carries a certain product or find the nearest H'E'B that does.
The product catalog makes it easy to search and filter products by type, whether that means a preference for going local, gluten free, low carb, Primo Picks, or any number of ways to search and organize products by nutrition preference or other specific needs. Products can be searched online or in'store on the app, and it's easy to add items to digital shopping lists, find sales and select digital coupons for savings. The online catalog will show which aisle and shelf the item is on in the store.
On heb.com, you can order catering services — such as wine, flowers, bakery and deli – and then arrange for pickup in store.
Recipes Made Easy
From foodies to families, H'E'B wants to be the recipe destination for Texas taste buds, and now heb.com and the mobile app make it even easier to cook up new ideas.
H'E'B is growing its recipe database with every recipe chef'tested and approved. It's easy to use the app or heb.com to search for recipe ideas by nutritional requirements, prep time, cooking method, cuisine type, ingredient or product.
HEB.com offers recipes for tasty seasonal items. And shoppers can use their smartphone to scan Primo Picks in'store to find recipes and savings, or even scan items in the pantry at home to find new recipe ideas. Recipe ingredients are easy to add to digital shopping lists and the shopping list will show you when ingredients are on sale or have a coupon.
Your Pharmacy on Your Schedule
Managing personal and family prescriptions is just a click away on heb.com or the H'E'B mobile app. To get started, customers just need to create a pharmacy profile on heb.com and add family members to see prescription history and manage all prescriptions in one place — and that goes for prescriptions for four'legged family members too.
It's possible to refill or transfer prescriptions, stay on top of scheduling immunizations, view recent prescription activity and upcoming refills, check refill status, and print and email prescription records for taxes or insurance. Customers can even manage important details like bottle preferences (e.g., language, child proof), contact information and drug allergies.
