Bartell Drugs has announced that Frank Segrave, President and CEO of Silvergate Pharmaceuticals and former Vice President of Pharmacy at Walmart, has joined the Bartell Drugs board of directors.

SEATTLE, WA—Seattle-based, family-owned Bartell Drugs has announced that Frank Segrave, President and CEO of Silvergate Pharmaceuticals and former Vice President of Pharmacy at Walmart, has joined the Bartell Drugs board of directors. He replaces Brian Unmacht, who was named Bartell Drugs’ President and CEO earlier this year.
With 31 years of experience in retail, merchandising, distribution, sales, managed care and marketing, Segrave founded Colorado-based Silvergate Pharmaceuticals in September 2010. Silvergate is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on filling the unmet needs of pediatric patients.
Bartell Drugs remains family-owned as the 64-store chain celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2015. George D. Bartell continues to serve as Chairman and his sister, Jean Bartell Barber, is the company’s Vice-Chairman and Treasurer.
“Frank has wide-ranging experience and stature within our industry, and both Jean and I are very excited about the perspectives he’ll bring to the board as we plan for future growth and success,” said Bartell.
Prior to Silvergate, Segrave was Executive Vice President at Cardinal Health where he was responsible for multiple operations in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to joining Cardinal Health, he was Vice President of Pharmacy at Walmart.

Segrave is a graduate of the Northeast Louisiana University and is a registered Pharmacist.
