The OTC and nutritional supplement products provider PharmaTech LLC is recalling all liquid products distributed between October 20, 2015, and July 15, 2016, due to potential contamination.

The OTC and nutritional supplement products provider PharmaTech LLC is recalling all liquid products distributed between October 20, 2015, and July 15, 2016, due to potential contamination with Burkholderia cepacia.

Using a product containing B. cepacia could result in potentially serious or even life-threatening infections in patients with compromised immune systems, as well as those with chronic lung conditions, such as cystic fibrosis.

The following liquid products from PharmaTech are included in the recall:

· Ninjacof A

· Senexon Liquid

· Senna Syrup

· Sennazon Syrup

· Virtrate-2

· Virtrate-K

· Calcionate Syrup

· Cerovite Liquid

· CertaVite with Antioxidants

· CytoDetox

· D3 Vitamin Liquid

· D-Vita Drops

· Fer-iron Liquid

· Ferrous Drops

· Ferrous Sulfate Liquid

· Liquid Vitamin C

· Pedia D-Vite Drops

· Pedia Poly-Vite Drops

· Pedia Tri-Vite Drops

· Poly-Vita Drops

· Poly-Vita Drops with Iron

· Polyvitamin liquid

· Polyvitamin liquid with Iron

· Renew HC

PharmaTech has notified its distributors and customers via recall letter, and it’s arranging for the return of all recalled products.

Pharmacies, consumers, and health care facilities should stop using and dispensing potentially contaminated products immediately. Adverse reactions should also be reported to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program online by regular mail or fax.
