Florida pharmacists received a green light from state lawmakers to administer influenza shots to residents of the Sunshine State. Pharmacists in 44 other states already are authorized to provide this service.

Under the bill, pharmacists who want to participate must complete a 20-hour training course to be certified to administer the shots.
