ALEXANDRIA, Va. (April 1, 2025) – The National Community Pharmacists Association is pleased to announce these upcoming events for pharmacists and pharmacy team members: 

  • April 8 – Preparing for a Drug Enforcement Administration Inspection: Compliance Overview and Diversion Prevention Best Practices, part of our NCPA Learning Hour series. This session will provide insights into compliance expectations and practical strategies to detect and prevent drug diversion, helping attendees safeguard their pharmacy practices.   • April 10 – Stop the Stigma: Effective Communication With Persons With Serious and Persistent Mental Illness in the Pharmacy Setting, part of our NCPA Learning Hour series. Enhance your comfort and confidence when interacting with individuals affected by mental illness. This is part three of the mental health webinar series sponsored by the Cardinal Health Foundation.   • Starting April 16 – The Diabetes Accreditation Boot Camp. The NCPA Innovation Center is teaming up with PharmFurther to offer this turnkey online course that will help prepare participants for DSME accreditation in six weeks or less so they can bill Medicare and other payers for diabetes education they’re probably already providing. Learn more and register by the final registration deadline of April 13.
  • April 22 – Mental Health First Aid Training, online. Pharmacy team members are more likely to encounter a mental health episode than a situation requiring basic life support or CPR. This live online training course will help attendees identify, understand, and respond to people in need of this assistance. Learn more and register by April 15.
  • April 30-May 1 – NCPA’s 2025 Congressional Pharmacy Fly-In, in Alexandria, Va., and Washington, D.C. It’s the most important advocacy event on the calendar. Build rapport and foster relationships with those making decisions central to the future of pharmacy. Learn more and register.
  • May 2-3 – Business of Long-Term Care Workshop, in Alexandria, Va., presented by the NCPA Long-Term Care Division. This is an intensive crash course on owning and operating a long-term care pharmacy. It will help attendees grow their LTC offering from a few to a few thousand beds. Learn more and register.
  • May 2-3 – Pharmacy Ownership Workshop, sponsored by McKesson and in part by First Financial Bank and Pharmacists Mutual Companies. This is a can’t-miss program for pharmacists considering pharmacy ownership or current owners looking to polish their management skills. Learn more and register.
