Winners to be revealed at Asembia 2017, finalists and winners to be recognized in upcoming issues of Specialty Pharmacy Times.
Specialty Pharmacy Times®, a full-service media resource dedicated to the business and practice of specialty pharmacy, and Zitter Health Insights (ZHI), which provides life science, specialty pharmacy and managed care organizations with insights to optimize patient access to pharmaceuticals, are pleased to announce the inaugural Patient Choice Awards co-sponsored by both organizations. The Patient Choice Awards recognize specialty pharmacies with the highest patient satisfaction ratings across the United States.
Based on results from the ZHI 2016 Patient Satisfaction Survey, 2016 finalists will be recognized and winners revealed at an awards luncheon on May 2, at the 2017 Asembia Conference hosted at the Wynn/Encore Resort in Las Vegas. Finalists are selected based on overall patient satisfaction scores, in one of two categories: PBM/Payer Specialty Pharmacy or non-PBM/Payer Specialty Pharmacy.
“We are delighted to introduce the first Patient Choice Awards for specialty pharmacies with our partner Zitter Health Insights,” said Brian Haug, President, Pharmacy and Healthcare Communications, LLC. “As a leader in specialty pharmacy media, we are proud to team up with Zitter Health Insights, a respected and expert voice in healthcare industry insights, to honor specialty pharmacies who strive daily to provide patients who have complex diseases with the best services and experiences that improve their overall health and well-being.”
John Monahan, CEO of ZHI stated “We are excited to be partnering with Specialty Pharmacy Times® to recognize specialty pharmacies that excel in satisfying the needs of their customers. We feel that specialty pharmacies provide significant benefit to their customers by delivering high quality services and should be recognized for their contributions to patients’ well-being.”
The ZHI Patient Satisfaction Survey was launched in 2015 and is representative of 80 percent of specialty pharmacies across the United States. Data is collected quarterly. The survey data are used to create a syndicated benchmarking report that can be used to assess patient satisfaction and customer loyalty across a variety of therapeutic categories. Finalists and winners will be recognized at the Patient Choice Awards luncheon. Finalists will be showcased in the March 2017 issue of Specialty Pharmacy Times® and winners will be recognized in the June 2017 issue of Specialty Pharmacy Times®.
“This event will be the first of many as Specialty Pharmacy Times® and Zitter Health Insights recognize best-in-class customer satisfaction by specialty pharmacies with the Patient Choice Awards,” Monahan said.
Accrediting agencies are increasingly requiring specialty pharmacies survey their patients, with minimal requirements. The ZHI Patient Satisfaction Survey is the first industry-wide patient satisfaction survey to provide objective, comparative assessments of all major specialty pharmacies. Syndicated, actionable research based on the responses of thousands of specialty pharmacy patients, the ZHI Patient Satisfaction Survey enables specialty pharmacies to comply with accrediting requirements, as well as to assess their own and competitor performance.
