Rite Aid to Help Customers Ready for Medicare Part D Enrollment Beginning Oct. 15

Camp Hill, Pa. (Oct. 1, 2013) - To help seniors and their caregivers ready for the annual Medicare Part D enrollment period which begins Oct. 15 and runs through Dec. 7, Rite Aid pharmacies nationwide will once again offer its Medicare Advisor to help them select the right Medicare Part D plan. A Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) is the most common form of the federal program designed to help people over 65 and those with disabilities afford prescription coverage.

Among the many plans available, this year, Medicare beneficiaries will be able to choose a new plan from Symphonix Health Insurance, Symphonix Rite Aid Value Rx (PDP)*. Designed to appeal to the value-conscious, Rite Aid will be the exclusive preferred pharmacy provider in this new plan, which includes $1 copays for select generic medications. Symphonix Rite Aid Value Rx (PDP) will also provide a competitive monthly premium and offer lower copays at Rite Aid pharmacies**. The plan is available everywhere Rite Aid operates except Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia and West Virginia.

Rite Aid is also a preferred pharmacy provider in Medicare Part D plans offered by WellPoint*** affiliates and Express Scripts MedicareTM (PDP), as well as several region-specific plans.*

In addition to the personalized consultations available in stores, Rite Aid customers and caregivers can compare plans from the comfort of their own home using Rite Aid's Medicare Advisor online at http://www.riteaid.com/medicareadvisor. Comparisons estimate the three lowest-cost plans based on the enrollee's current prescriptions filled at Rite Aid locations.
