Rite Aid Stores Introduce New Format Centering Pharmacists

The new format being rolled out at Rite Aid stores is designed to center pharmacists and make them easily accessible to patients.

In an interview with Pharmacy Times, Summer Kerley, PharmD, vice president of clinical services and business development at Rite Aid, said the new format being rolled out at Rite Aid stores is designed to center pharmacists and make them easily accessible to patients.

In addition to a calm atmosphere, Kerley said the new layout brings pharmacists out from behind a wall in the back of the store, enabling them to more easily interact with patients. Kerley added that the format also empowers technicians to take more responsibility, thereby freeing up pharmacists to interact with patients.
