Rising Pharmaceuticals is an industry leader in marketing and distributing niche generic prescription pharmaceutical products covering a variety of therapeutic areas and dosage forms. We also market a few legacy OTC products. We are focused on the development of Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA)—based generic products through our global network of development and manufacturing partners and have a robust emerging pipeline of niche pharmaceutical products. Rising now commercially sells over 65 product families and has a robust development pipeline of over 100 ANDA products.

RISING EVOLUTION

Rising was founded in the early 1990s as a private company with a focus on selling niche pharmaceutical products supported by strong customer service.

After a very successful run spanning 2 decades, Rising was acquired on December 31, 2010, by Aceto Corporation [NASDAQ: ACET], a global leader in the marketing, sale, and distribution of products for human health (finisheddosage form generics and nutraceutical products), pharmaceutical ingredients (pharmaceutical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients), and performance chemicals (specialty chemicals and agricultural protection products). Consequently, starting January 1, 2011, Rising began operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Aceto Corporation.

With significant management changes implemented in mid- 2013, the company’s portfolio and pipeline have significantly grown through both organic and inorganic strategies.

In addition to driving organic growth, Rising Pharmaceuticals also acquired Pack Pharmaceuticals, another US generic pharmaceuticals distributor, on April 30, 2014. Recognizing that both companies shared a similar vision for providing people access to high-quality medications at affordable prices, leveraging their portfolios and pipelines was the best way to realize that goal faster. This has been yet another step in Rising’s growth as an emerging leader in the US generic pharmaceuticals industry.

Rising’s products are manufactured by its global network of manufacturing partners at state-of-the-art cGMP-compliant facilities using quality assurance practices that meet US regulatory standards. Via close partnerships with customers throughout the United States, the company ensures the safe and effective delivery of products to patients.

Rising’s continuous growth marks an important step in its parent Aceto’s strategic evolution into the finished-dose human health market.
