The NASP Annual Meeting and Educational Conference is an opportunity to keep up to date on significant developments in the specialty pharmacy industry, including legislative and regulatory policy.
The meeting will also feature the third annual Specialty Pharmacy Law Conference and second annual specialty pharmacy certification preparation course, held on September 24, 2018.
Meeting attendees include senior executives, pharmacy directors, staff pharmacists, consultants, and other management-level personnel from specialty pharmacy providers, infusion pharmacies, pharma/biotech manufacturers, institutional pharmacies, managed care organizations, group purchasing organizations, distributors, and suppliers to the industry.
Registration for all events can be found at NASPmeeting.com.
NASP also recently announced that the honorable Newt Gingrich is the first of 2 exciting keynote speakers for the meeting. During the session, Gingrich will discuss how to improve specialty pharmacy processes with public policies that ensure patient access to specialty drugs and other services.
As an incentive for early sign-ups, the first 50 individuals to register will receive a signed copy of “Understanding Trump,” Gingrich’s 2017 book that debuted at the top of the New York Times, Publisher’s Weekly, and Wall Street Journal US non-fiction best-seller lists.
The annual meeting will feature sessions focused on patients, inflammatory diseases, oncology, additional disease states, and clinical practice.
“Our mission is to improve specialty pharmacy practice by promoting continuing professional education and certification of specialty pharmacists while advocating for public policies that ensure appropriate patient access to specialty medications and related care services,” Sheila Arquette, executive director of NASP said in a press release. “The NASP Annual Meeting is an opportunity to bring the specialty pharmacy community together to extend clinical and practical pharmacy knowledge.”
