PRESS RELEASE
LAKELAND, Fla., Dec. 10, 2014 — For the fifth consecutive year, Publix Pharmacy is the highest-ranking pharmacy in overall satisfaction in the supermarket segment according to J.D. Power & Associate Satisfaction Survey, a customer satisfaction benchmark study that provides pharmacy-specific performance comparisons among brick and mortar pharmacies.
The 2014 U.S. Pharmacy Study was based on responses from 13,951 pharmacy customers who filled a new prescription or refilled a prescription during the three months prior to the survey period, July-Aug. The survey measured prescription ordering, store performance, non-pharmacist staff, cost competitiveness and store pharmacist. Publix Pharmacy ranked number one in three of the five categories.
“Being recognized by our pharmacy customers in this manner validates our focus on the customer experience within our stores," said Maria Brous, Publix director of media and community relations. “We are committed to exceeding our customers’ expectations and helping them achieve their health and wellness goals. We are proud of our pharmacy staff for delivering on this commitment each and every day.”
The study also noted that Publix outperforms or performs on par with supermarket segments on 11 of 12 key performance indicators, and compared to supermarket pharmacies, Publix customers are more likely to return, likely to recommend and feel most loyal to the Publix Pharmacy.
