What are you looking forward to for the 2024 McKesson ideaShare Conference?

McKesson ideaShare is always an invigorating and exciting event that's put on every year but this year, over 1300 pharmacies are registered. This meeting really seeks to empower pharmacists, owners and technicians to foster those deep connections with themselves and the communities that they serve. They find ways to innovate, thrive and strengthen their collective voice. This year, I'm particularly excited about the discussion around the intersection of community impact and profitability. I think that's going to be an exciting topic. Pharmacy teams can also gain the latest clinical and business expertise in their areas that are critical to pharmacy teams, such as maximizing reimbursements, diversifying revenue streams, and advocating on behalf of the pharmacy profession.

Is there a session you’d like to highlight or are eager to see?

I always think it's so exciting to hear from our pharmacy owners themselves. I always learn something new when they talk about their experiences or challenges, or innovations that they've thought of in the field. People such as Raj Chhadua with ReNu RX and Shahida Choudhry of Palms pharmacy. They're going to discuss their successful strategies that they've activated in their pharmacies to support profitability. Our Health Mart pharmacist of the year is always exciting. The build up to that is always fun and being able to hear from the nominees and really hearing their stories and their impact is always exciting. I think the hope is that everybody walks away with a chance to activate new ideas, leaving inspired and have new solutions and their back pockets.
