PRESS RELEASE
Alexandria, Va. April 19, 2013 - The preeminent meeting for independent community pharmacists will feature President Bill Clinton, who will deliver the keynote address to the NCPA 115th Annual Convention and Trade Exposition Oct. 12-16, 2013 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando.
William Jefferson Clinton was America's 42nd president and the first Democratic president in six decades to be elected twice. After leaving the White House he founded the William J. Clinton Foundation to improve global health, strengthen economies, promote healthier childhoods, and protect the environment. The Foundation's Clinton Health Access Initiative is helping 4.5 million people living with HIV/AIDS access lifesaving drugs.
"NCPA's convention offers independent community pharmacists an edge," said NCPA President Donnie Calhoun, RPh, a pharmacy owner in Anniston, Ala. "Now more than ever, community pharmacies must find a way to differentiate themselves from the competition. The programming and networking at this meeting offer pharmacists the path to stand out in their communities and the path to a successful future."
The meeting's theme—Meet. Learn. Succeed.—succinctly captures why this is the premiere conference to attend. Peer-to-peer networking, the latest products and services, and 1st class CE are just some of the reasons why community pharmacists come to this meeting—and keep coming back.
NCPA is currently running an "early bird" promotion that proved highly popular with the 2012 meeting attendees. Register by June 30, 2013 to qualify.
