PharmaHealth Specialty Pharmacy Receives URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation

PharmaHealth Specialty Pharmacy announced today that it has been awarded Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, DC-based health care accrediting organization dedicated to promoting health care quality through accreditation, certification and commendation.

PharmaHealth Specialty Pharmacy announced today that it has been awarded Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, DC-based health care accrediting organization dedicated to promoting health care quality through accreditation, certification and commendation. URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation standards address approaches to ensuring appropriate patient protections have been established, such as policies for confidentiality of patient information, informed consent, dispute resolution and other issues. The standards cover staff structure and qualification, quality improvement, information management, oversight of delegated functions, ethics, complaints, and the specialty drug management process.

PharmaHealth Specialty Pharmacy offers a high touch, comprehensive care system of pharmacological care wherein patients with chronic illnesses and complex disease states receive expert therapy management and support tailored to their individual needs. PharmaHealth currently provides these services for patients with cancer, hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, Crohn’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, cystic fibrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and more.
