Today, we’re celebrating the work of John and Terry Brittin, both registered pharmacists and the owners of Village Pharmacy in Marmora, New Jersey. Ever since taking ownership of the pharmacy in 1999, the Brittins have gone above and beyond to provide wellness opportunities to their community, including transforming the front end to a full-service health food and wellness center, complete with more than 24 feet of refrigerated and frozen offerings.
Like other essential businesses, Village Pharmacy has remained open throughout the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, with the goal of providing the same personalized care as always. They have offered curbside delivery of both prescriptions and grocery orders, as well as home delivery, contactless payment, and socially distanced in-store shopping.
At the beginning of the pandemic, Village Pharmacy also launched a partnership with Atlantic Diagnostic Laboratories, opening a patient care center right in the store. Through this partnership, they have provided a phlebotomist in-store for all lab tests, including the recent addition of COVID-19 rapid antibody testing, and are looking to continue expanding their offerings in the months and years to come.
