Pharmacy Hero: Pharmacist Remains Optimistic, Keeps Patients, Coworkers Smiling During COVID-19

Today, we’re celebrating the work of David Sullivan, PharmD, RPh, a pharmacy manager at CVS Pharmacy in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Today, we’re celebrating the work of David Sullivan, PharmD, RPh, a pharmacy manager at CVS Pharmacy in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Sullivan has kept a smile on his face throughout the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, including with his clown face mask.

In addition to his work at the pharmacy, Sullivan is a clown for the Aleppo Shriners of Wilmington, Massachusetts, and serves on the board of governors at Shriners Hospital—Boston.

“His patients and coworkers are pleasantly surprised when he shows up to work in his bright suits and a mask with a clown smile on his face, brightening their day a little bit,” said Amy Sullivan, PharmD, RPh. “His sense of humor and optimism are truly appreciated on the front lines.”
