Pharmacy Hero: Pharmacist Raises Money for Local Small Businesses

Today, we’re celebrating Manzil Panchal, BS Pharm, owner and pharmacy manager at East Norriton Pharmacy in Pennsylvania. Panchal has used social media to educate patients on ways to stay safe during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, including proper ways to wear a mask and sanitize spaces.

Panchal has also used the pharmacy’s Facebook page to advocate for local small businesses, encouraging patients to support them. Between March 31 and May 31, 2020, the pharmacy donated $2 per new prescription to help fund small businesses, with the goal of collecting $5000.

“If we all join hands, we can fight through this and get back to the norm like we were a couple weeks ago,” Panchal wrote in a Facebook post on March 30.
