Pharmacists crack the top 5 of most competitive in-demand jobs with 6-figure salaries.

Pharmacists continue to rank among best-paying professions, but competition in the job market is high.

Job site Glassdoor has published their most competitive in-demand jobs with 6-figure salaries, ranking pharmacists 5th out of the 20 professions listed.

The list ranks professions based on salary and job availability, highlighting careers with the highest average income and least amount of job openings listed on Glassdoor’s website. According to the list, pharmacists reel in a median base salary of $120,000, with only 4213 job openings on the site. Companies hiring include Safeway, OhioHealth, Angel Medical Center, UnityPoint Health, Mission Healthcare Services, Lincare, Global Counseling International, and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

The top 5 jobs on the list were:

  • Creative managers
  • IT managers
  • Data scientists
  • Supply chain managers
  • Pharmacists

Pharmacists frequently secure spots on Glassdoor’s lists, ranking highly in the site’s highest-paying professions list 2 years in a row. CareerBliss also ranked pharmacists among the top 5 happiest 6-figure jobs in 2016.
