Pet Peeves (September 2019)
Impatient patients, impossible demands, and an irritating mix-up are all included in this month's Pet Peeves.
The Impatient Patient
When someone calls from the drive thru asking why the line is so long (backed up).
Everything and the Kitchen Sink
When people call and ask to refill "everything."
Wild Goose Chase
When people insist they are picking up for someone, you search the entire queue, the outgoing bins, the voicemail, etc. The situation escalates, only to finally get to the conclusion that yes, they are at the wrong pharmacy (most often confusing Walgreens and Walmart)!
Perplexing Price Tag
Patient comes in and tells us "My doctor said this would be $4.00" on a brand name medication.
Bossy patients, abandoned prescriptions, drive-through demands? We want to know! Send your pet peeves to cmollison@pharmacytimes.com. We'll share them here and in the publication!
