Pet Peeves

Solve This Mystery.

I love it when the physician sends over an eRx for a OTC item and lists all of the ingredients and strengths instead of writing the trade name, then expects us to do the research.

That’s What I Said, But It’s Not What I Meant!

People who call the pharmacy and ask, “Can you please fill all my medications.” And then when they pick up, they give you half of them back because they’re not taking THOSE anymore!!!

A Bit Pushy.

I get so tired of certain patients running out of refills and then demanding I give them 7 days to “get by” because they can’t miss a dose. Even though they’ve already been out for 3 days.

Need It Now!

Why is it that no one ever seems to need an early refill on their blood pressure medicine—but they always need one for their pain medicine? Strange how that happens ... all the time!

What’s bothering you?

Bossy patients, abandoned prescriptions, drive-throughs? Pharmacy Times wants to know. Send your pet peeves to PetPeeves@pharmacytimes.com. We’ll add them to our ongoing published list. Share your Pet Peeves with Pharmacy Times today!
