Pharmacists can now connect to the latest news on pharmacy meetings, advocacy issues, and public relations directly from their smartphones, thanks to a mobile Web site launched today by the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS).
The NACDS “guide on the go” can be accessed at http://m.NACDS.org using any phone with Web-browsing capabilities. It features sections dedicated to NACDS conferences and meetings, as well as press releases on the organization’s pursuits in public policy and pharmacy advocacy. The site also connects users to the group’s Facebook and Twitter feeds.
“NACDS Mobile applies a current approach to NACDS’ consistent mission,” said NACDS President and CEO Steven C. Anderson, IOM, CAE. “Wherever you are, it delivers the latest on NACDS’ work to foster business community and to advance pharmacies as the face of neighborhood healthcare through government advocacy and communications.”
The site was created to complement NACDS’ previous offerings in the mobile arena, which include a series of free conference-specific apps from 2010. These apps will return in 2011, with up-to-date information on conference speakers and schedules, as well as interactive site maps to help attendees navigate exhibit halls.
