NACDS Total Store Expo 2019 Coverage Is Coming

Pharmacy Times will be on location in Boston next week to deliver coverage on the National Association of Chain Drug Stores’ Total Store Expo (NACDS TSE).

Here are some sessions to watch for in our upcoming coverage of this year’s NACDS TSE:

• Community Pharmacy-Based Point-of-Care Testing—This session will provide pharmacists with the chance to earn a certificate of completion and will explain practical ways for them to implement the NACDS Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) program in their own organizations.
• NACDS Institute Exploring Specialty Drugs and Care Services in Community Pharmacy—As community pharmacies increasingly offer specialized services to their patients, innovative specialty drugs require increasingly high touch interactions with patients to manage their therapies. This session will cover an analysis of the specialty drug and pharmacy market, and will also examine specific opportunities for pharmacies to get a foothold in the specialty market.
• Community Pharmacy’s Role in Optimizing Medication Use and Quality for Patients with Chronic Disease—Community pharmacy is uniquely positioned to improve medication use and quality in health care, and this session will examine how pharmacists can fully realize their potential in this space. Topics covered will include chronic care management, quality metrics, and more.
