Mediware Information Systems, Inc., a leading provider of comprehensive post-acute care health care software and Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA), a leading health care services and technology company serving the alternate site health care marketplace, today announce they have signed a partnership agreement which will allow both business partners to further expand their leadership roles in the post-acute health care market.

The agreement ensures MHA members better access to Mediware’s homecare software solutions, including integration with MHA’s Specialty Pharmacy Solutions (SPS) technology offerings. Both companies specialize in cutting edge software technologies that enable health care providers to thrive in a very competitive market. Examples of these technologies include automated workflow management, on-demand reporting and data analytics.

The technologies are purpose-built to provide pharmacies the tools they need to proactively manage their operations. The combined expertise of Mediware and MHA across home infusion (IV), specialty pharmacy, home medical equipment (HME) and long-term care provides forward thinking expertise that will guide the post-acute health care industry for the coming years.

Thomas Mann, President and CEO of Mediware, comments, “I’m excited to enter this new partnership with MHA. Our joint customers will benefit from the expertise and offerings each organization brings to the table. The same is true for new customers, whether they look to join MHA, adapt Mediware homecare solutions, or do both.”

Erik Halstrom, Vice President of MHA Specialty Pharmacy Solutions, adds, “We are excited about our new relationship with Mediware and we look forward to working collaboratively in the home infusion and specialty pharmacy market as we identify additional meaningful ways to bring value to our members and customers. These types of relationships demonstrate MHA’s commitment to help pharmacies drive business efficiencies and optimize their patient care.”
