Tera Moore, PharmD: So I think one of the most important messages for the psychiatric pharmacist provider in the role that they play is really they are integrated across the entire mental health continuum of care. So that is not only that primary care setting and general mental health, but it is also specialty mental health and substance use disorders, residential programs and in-patient programs. And I think it is important to highlight, specifically with the opioid crisis and other substance use disorders, that psychiatric pharmacist providers are well-placed to be able to provide medication-assisted treatment or be part of that collaborative care team that is treating those patients. And treating them where they are most comfortable, so integrating that access into the primary care settings where they may be most comfortable.
