Health Mart Announces Partnership with Amazon Hub Counter

McKesson’s Health Mart has announced a partnership with Amazon Hub Counter pickup points, offering customers more convenient delivery options.

McKesson’s Health Mart has announced a partnership with Amazon Hub Counter pickup points, offering customers more convenient delivery options.

The Amazon Hub Counter expansion has created thousands more pickup points with partners GNC, Health Mart, and Stage Stores. The delivery method is available to all Amazon customers, and works with same-day, one-day, two-day, and standard shipping options.

After selecting their preferred Counter pickup point on Amazon, customers receive a unique barcode. At the pickup point, staff scan the barcode, retrieve the package, and hand it to the customer. Customers have 14 days to collect their delivery.

The service not only allows Amazon customers to pick up their deliveries at a convenient location in their pharmacy, but will also drive customers into the Health Mart pharmacies.

The program has been in 100 pilot locations since May. The setup within the store is up to franchise owners and will challenge owners and pharmacists to evolve their businesses, said Chris Dimos, SVP of corporate strategy and business development at McKesson. Dimos added that the company is recruiting other Health Mart owners to participate.2

“For six years, my pharmacy team has served our community and made sure our patients get the care they need,” Laura Temple, RPh, pharmacist and owner of Laura’s Health Mart Pharmacy in Azle, Texas, said in a statement. “Amazon Hub Counter has given my current patients a new, convenient way to pick up their Amazon packages, and it’s also brought in new neighbors who have then been introduced to the meaningful care at my pharmacy. I’m delighted to offer Counter in my local store.”
