INDICATION: The FDA has approved Glenmark Pharmaceuticals aprepitant capsules USP, 40 mg, 80 mg, and 125 mg, the generic version of Emend capsules. Emend is indicated, in combination with other antiemetic agents, in patients 12 and older for the prevention of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, including high-dose cisplatin, as well as nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of moderately emetogenic cancer chemotherapy. It is also indicated for the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting in adults.
