NACDS "Product Showcase" Winners Announced

The NACDS 2010 Marketplace Conference was a marketplace of ideas, where attendees were able to see and hear about the newest products, learn from retail leaders, and gain insight from manufacturers directly in one-one-meetings.

Exhibitors presented more than 150 products, ranging from health and beauty products to seasonal items. Retail attendees were asked to evaluate each product and select winners for 7 categories for the “Product Showcase.” In addition to the honor of recognition, the winning suppliers earned increased visibility for their products on the exhibit floor.

The categories included a wide range of product types and reflected the variety of consumer items available on the market today. For Baby Care, the Bean-B-Clean (Scalping Massaging Brush) by Bean-B-Clean took the honor; for Consumables, the winner was Crunchies (All Natural Freeze Dried Fruits & Veggies) by Crunchies Food Company; for Cosmetics and Fragrances, top honors went to Swisspers Exfoliating Cotton Facial Cleansing Pads by U.S. Cotton, LLC; for General Merchandise, the winner was LightSpecs by Foster Grant by FGX International; for Healthcare/OTC, the winner was Thermofocus, The Original 5-1 Non Contact Thermometer by TECHIMED; for Home Healthcare, the winner was Glow & Go Folding Cane by Drive Medical Design & Manufacturing; and for Personal Care/HBC, the winner was Zeno Hot Spot Blemish Clearing Device.

Next year’s meeting, the 2011 Marketplace Conference, will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, from June 25 to 28, 2011, where new products will be introduced and a new crop of “Product Showcase” winners announced. For more information, visit www.nacds.org.
