Discount Drug Mart and MetroHealth Launch Health Care Partnership

(Cleveland)- Discount Drug Mart and MetroHealth System have partnered up to offer a modern day convenience of walk-in clinics in select locations. MetroHealth will hold offices in multiple Discount Drug Mart locations throughout Cuyahoga County.

These offices will provide same-day primary care services to anyone in need, ranging from young children to older adults. Equipped with a nurse practitioner, these offices will be able to address a person’s basic medical needs, administer vaccinations and prescribe medications that customers are able to fill at the Discount Drug Mart Pharmacy before leaving the store. Evening and weekend hours will be offered and walk-in appointments are accepted. In addition, most medical insurance plans will also be accepted.

Initial plans are to open five offices in locations throughout the county in the first six months of partnership.

Discount Drug Mart is expecting to have the first MetroHealth office open this Summer.
