CVS Caremark Appoints Dr. Alan Lotvin Executive Vice President of Specialty Pharmacy

, MD, to the position of executive vice president, specialty pharmacy. In this role, Dr. Lotvin will have overall responsibility for the company's specialty pharmacy strategy with a focus on identifying opportunities for growth and innovation in this fast-growing segment of the health care industry.

Dr. Lotvin has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical benefit management and specialty pharmacy industries. Prior to joining CVS Caremark, Dr. Lotvin was president and chief executive officer of ICORE Healthcare, a Magellan Health Services company. Previously, he has held roles as president and chief operating officer of M|C Communications, a leading medical education provider, and served in various senior management positions at Medco Health Solutions, including president of Specialty Pharmacy Services.

Dr. Lotvin is a cardiologist with a Medical Degree from the
