Police in Greensboro, North Carolina, have charged 2 men with common law robbery for thefts committed at 3 different city pharmacies on October 26, 2014.
Ronald Eugene Johnson, 52, was charged with 3 counts of common law robbery, while Kevin Ronte Curry, 26, was charged with 2 counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, WXII12 reports.
The robberies occurred at 2 Walgreens and a Rite Aid, with all 3 incidents involving a male suspect who demanded money from the front counter. In at least 2 of the robberies, the suspect implied having a gun and was seen getting into a gold sedan occupied by another person.
In Nampa, Idaho, a man recently pleaded not guilty to charges of burglary and possession of a controlled substance stemming from the theft of prescription drugs from a Walgreens store.
Austin Howard, 23, entered his plea on October 24, 2014, and faces up to 10 years in prison for the burglary charge, as well as 7 years in prison for the possession charge, The Idaho Press-Tribune reports.
