This illegible script was presented to a dumbfounded Ziad Karnaby, PharmD, of Super Pharmacy Unica in Jackson Heights, New York. He had no idea what was being prescribed until he called the physician’s office for verification. After clearing things up, the physician said he was “surprised” Ziad hadn’t figured it out on his own! Can you read the prescription?

Pharmacy technician Laura Cotter, CPhT, of Gibson’s Pharmacy in Murray, Utah, was baffled by this tricky prescription. Although the physician’s instructions are relatively clear, Laura was stumped when it came to the drug name. She ended up calling the prescriber’s office, where a nurse was able to interpret the handwriting.
