When this prescription came into LI Script Long-Term Care Pharmacy in Woodbury, New York, pharmacist Gary Valeich, PharmD, was stumped. Although it was around the holidays, he was able to get in touch with the prescriber to clarify.

“This doctor’s office is known for poor handwriting and it’s not unusual for us to have to call for clarification,” said Kelli Moyer, PharmD, of CVS Pharmacy in York, Pennsylvania. Because this messy script came in after hours, it was lucky that the patient could come to the rescue with the drug name.
