ASHP Introduces New Logo and Tagline

PRESS RELEASE

6/2/2014-- ASHP today introduced a new logo and tagline at the opening session of its Summer Meetings in Las Vegas. The new visual identity was developed through a process that involved the ASHP Board of Directors, ASHP members, and staff.

When ASHP was established nearly 75 years ago, its members worked exclusively in hospital settings. Today, ASHP represents over 40,000 pharmacists, student pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians who serve as patient care providers on healthcare teams in acute and ambulatory settings.

“Pharmacy practice has changed profoundly since ASHP was founded in 1942, and it is important that our brand reflects this evolution of practice,” said ASHP CEO Paul W. Abramowitz, Pharm.D., Sc.D. (Hon.), FASHP. “Our new logo represents ASHP as a strong, forward-thinking organization focused on helping our members improve patient care and advance pharmacy practice. The new tagline, “Pharmacists Advancing Healthcare” points to pharmacists’ key roles in patient care.”

ASHP will be phasing in use of the new logo and tagline over the next several months.
