APDA Announces New VP of Program and Services

The American Parkinson Disease Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Kornhaber as Vice President of Programs and Services.

New York, NY, January 12, 2015 - The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Kornhaber as Vice President of Programs and Services.

Robin joins APDA with an extensive background in the healthcare field focused on the creation and delivery of outstanding program services for patients, families, healthcare providers and the public at large. Prior to joining APDA, Robin served as the Senior Vice President of Development at the American Legacy Foundation for 6 years where she initiated and launched a comprehensive fundraising plan. For 13 years she served as the Senior Vice President for Patient Services in the national office of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. There she implemented and oversaw the development of a nation-wide services program for patients and families and created a donor development strategy for early patient/family connections resulting in significant growth in donor giving.

Robin has provided consultant services on development and strategic planning to the Fund for Public Health in NY and the Global Institute of Public Health at NYU.

Leslie Chambers, APDA President & CEO, noted that “Robin’s experience and accomplishments, which span 30 years in a variety of non-profit organizations and health care systems, demonstrates the leadership ability required for APDA to enhance its mission delivery, and develop and expand its community-based programs and services.”

The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) was founded in 1961 to Ease the Burden - Find the Cure for Parkinson's disease. Headquartered in New York, the organization focuses its energies on research, patient services, education and raising public awareness about the disease.
