Pharmacy Times spoke with Maggie Ryman, a member of McKesson’s Critical Care Drug Task Force, about anticipating hospital pharmacy needs during COVID-19 and American Pharmacist Month.
Ryman has seen needs for pharmacists change in a positive way, including enhanced communication and stimulating new, creative ways to implement pharmacy practices while we enter the "new normal."
As for being a woman in pharmacy, Ryman emphasized that women are at 64% of enrollment of pharmacy students, and how women are making most of the health care decisions in this country.
Ryman also discussed why representation of women is important in the industry and what she feels is the most important about Amercan Pharmacist Month and Woman Pharmacist Day.
