The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education is pleased to announce the election of Bruce R. Canaday, Michael A. Moné and Timothy L. Tucker as members of the ACPE Executive Committee for the 2015-2016 term of office.

Chicago, IL —The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) is pleased to announce the election of Bruce R. Canaday, Michael A. Moné and Timothy L. Tucker as members of the ACPE Executive Committee for the 2015-2016 term of office. Elections were held during the ACPE Board of Directors Meeting, January 21-25, 2015 in San Diego, CA.
Bruce R. Canaday, PharmD was elected as President of ACPE. Dr. Canaday serves as Dean of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He has previously served as president for both the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). APhA appointed Dr. Canaday to the ACPE Board of Directors.
ACPE would like to extend its appreciation to Stephanie F. Gardner, PharmD, EdD for her service and tremendous leadership as President of ACPE’s Board of Directors this past year. Dr. Gardner was appointed to the ACPE Board by the AACP.
Michael A. Moné, BSPharm, JD, was elected to serve as Vice President.He serves as Vice President Associate General Counsel - Regulatory at Cardinal Health at Cardinal Health and also serves as a member of the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) appointed him to the ACPE Board.
Timothy L. Tucker, PharmD was elected as Secretary/Treasurer of ACPE. Dr. Tucker is the owner of City Drug in Huntingdon, Tennessee and is a practicing community pharmacist. He is a former president and speaker of the House of Delegates for APhA. Dr. Tucker is also a past national president of Phi Lambda Sigma. He was appointed to the Board by APhA.
According to Peter H. Vlasses, PharmD, DSc (Hon), BCPS, Executive Director of ACPE, “Over the next year, ACPE will be focused on successfully implementing Standards 2016 within our colleges and schools of pharmacy. We are fortunate to have strong leaders with outstanding experience that will continue to provide exceptional direction to our organization. ACPE congratulates our new executive committee and looks forward to their leadership during this important transition.”
