Greatest Achievements

I graduated at the top of my class as valedictorian of Georgia Military College in 2004, but being happily married to Ms. Jillian Marie Delgado since 2008 is by far my greatest success.

There is no doubt that our profession helped guide me to be successful in my 2 years as commander. This opportunity opened up my eyes to a side of the Army rarely seen by a pharmacist and will certainly pave the road for future pharmacy leaders to serve in other demanding positions.

I am humbled to serve as a military pharmacist for the men and women who serve our country and have served our country, and the family members that support these heroes.

Vision for Pharmacy

I expect that the role of a pharmacist will broaden through specialization that emphasizes on patient care at different levels of care.

Over the last 18 years, I have gained inspiration from the pharmacy leaders I’ve come to know and respect. Too many to name, they have all had a profound impact on my career and aspirations as a pharmacist.

Overcoming the many hardships that I faced as a youth growing up in Kenya. Through extraordinary hard work and perseverance, I was able to migrate to the United States and enlist in the Navy.

Applying myself to the fullest in everything that I do and having fun as I do it. People rarely succeed, especially in more challenging tasks, unless they are committed and believe in the value of their efforts.

Vision for Pharmacy

My vision is to see the continual emphasis on the transition to patient-oriented clinical pharmacy services, as well as the continuous expansion of diversity in pharmacists’ day-to-day workload and greater responsibilities in medication therapy management and disease state management services.
