MORE STATES UNVEIL Rx DRUG CARDS

Ohioans have a new prescription drug card program to help alleviate the cost of medications. The statewide program has no restrictions on membership, no income restrictions, no age limit, and no applications to complete. It is not a state-sponsored program, according to the Ohio Drug Card program.

Cardholders see an average savings between 30% and 75% at >50,000 national, regional, and independent pharmacies in the state. The card was designed to help the uninsured or underinsured. Individuals with health insurance but without prescription benefits are eligible. Also, individuals with prescription coverage can use the card for nonformulary or noncovered drugs.

The program is powered by UNA Rx Card, a division of United Networks of America.
