Zestra Reports Positive Results of OTC Feminine Arousal Fluid

Author(s):

A study of nonhormonal, nonprescription feminine arousal fluid from Zestra Laboratories to improve women's sexual experiences showed positive results when compared a placebo oil among the 178 women diagnosed with sexual difficulties who completed the study.

Results were tabulated using the Female Sexual Function Index, a widely used self-assessment questionnaire. A significant benefit of Zestra's fluid was shown over placebo in the desire/satisfaction component. In the arousal component, Zestra's fluid showed a highly significant benefit over placebo. While the FDA does not require clinical trials of nonprescription consumer products, Zestra Laboratories elected to run the trials to assess safety and effectiveness. The product is widely available in drug, supermarket, and discount chain stores.
