Summit Will Target RFID Innovations

The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Health Care Industry Adoption Summit will educate attendees on groundbreaking RFID technologies that can be implemented to prevent incidents of product tampering as well as to enhance workflow. Throughout the Summit, scheduled for November 13-16, 2005, in Arlington,Va, attendees can take advantage of daily education sessions designed for each sector of the supply chain. The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) and the Healthcare Distribution Management Association are cosponsoring the meeting.

"The Summit demonstrates the industry's commitment to further the development and adoption of RFID technology to create a safe and secure pharmaceutical supply chain," said Craig L. Fuller, president and chief executive officer of NACDS. "There is tremendous support for the creation of products and services that will successfully increase the adoption and implementation of RFID."
