PEPID Introduces New Tool

During the recent American College of Emergency Physicians assembly, PEPID introduced its new electronic prescribing tool?PEPID ERX. The tool will combine the functionality of PEPID's extensive drug databases, medical calculators, and drug interactions generators to enable physicians to prescribe directly at the point of care, using their Palm or Pocket PC handhelds, and to send prescriptions electronically to a printer for final review and transmission to pharmacists.

PEPID's drug databases include >5000 drugs, with complete monographs on their use in the prescription, OTC, and herbal categories. PEPID ERX will use these databases along with the PEPID calculators and drug interactions generators to determine the exact dosage and use for each prescription, automatically performing calculations at the point of care.
