The Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI) recently announced the availability of the Orange Book Companion. Containing extensive patent and market exclusivity information for FDA-approved drugs, the book is designed to be used as a complement to the FDA's Orange Book. It combines information from 8 different sources to provide the most thorough, easy-to-find information for each approved drug product.
The book's information is sorted alphabetically by trade name, generic name, new drug application name, and drug class for each approved product, and there are 2 types of lists sorted chronologically by the next-to-expire patent date. New in 2004, the Orange Book Companion provides national drug code classifications for all products that have been given them.
The Orange Book Companion is available as a 12-month CD-ROM, an online subscription, or a 2-volume book set. For more information, visit the FDLI at www.fdli.org.
