Medication Education Available in 17 Languages

In an effort to increase medication safety and compliance, Lexi-Comp Inc has made its adult and pediatric patient advisory leaflets, Lexi-PALS and Pedi- PALS, available in 17 languages. These leaflets offer valuable precautionary information and are easy to understand. They address such questions as why the medication is necessary, how it is given, storage and disposal, and common side effects. The pediatric format gives the caregiver instructions for administering medications.

?With the growing foreign-language ?speaking population in the United States, we saw a need to assist hospitals, physicians, nurses, and pharmacists with medication compliance and safety. The user is able to select the appropriate leaflet, and print it out in the patient?s desired language. These leaflets help answer many of the questions and concerns a patient may have about his or her prescribed medications,? said Bob Kerscher, president and CEO of Lexi-Comp Inc.

Subscribers to LexiComp Online, can access and print the leaflets.
