Thomas Wells, PharmD, of CVS/pharmacy#2521 in Hickory, North Carolina, had no ideawhat medication was being prescribed withthis script. He made several attempts to decipherthe handwriting and even conferred withmembers of the staff. When no one could figureout this script, he called the physician?soffice for clarification. Do you know whatdrug is being ordered?
Registered Pharmacist Lynne Pandoff, pharmacymanager of Meijer Inc #123 in Southgate, Michigan,was pretty sure she knew what medication wasbeing ordered. She wanted to double-check withthe physician?s office before filling the script.The physician?s office returned her call later inthe day and confirmed her answer. Can you unscramblethis script?
Rx 1: Diflucan 200 mg, #10, 1 tablet by mouth once a day.
Rx 2: Elixir Donnatal, 240 cc, 1 tsp every 6 hours as needed.
