Association Redesigns Web Site

The Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDSA) has revamped its Web site (www.rsds.org). The new format's navigation bar allows visitors to move among the 6 major areas without a lot of scrolling. Additionally, visitors have the ability to search the entire site, as well as the Internet, for reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), also known as complex regional pain syndrome.

RSD is defined as a chronic pain disorder involving the sympathetic nervous system. The disorder usually is the result of an injury or trauma, which sets off the body's mechanism for pain recognition. The first symptom of RSD is prolonged, severe pain, chronic burning in a localized area, or sensitivity to temperature and light touch.
