Interface Speeds Up Prescription Filling

Pharmacy software provider QS/1 Data Systems recently announced the Parata Robotic Dispensing System (RDS) Interface. Parata RDS is manufactured by the Durham, NC?based Parata Systems. QS/1's decision to develop an interface between the Parata RDS next-generation prescription-filling system and the RxCare Plus Pharmacy Management System was made in response to strong customer interest.

"The Parata RDS Interface offers our customers the opportunity to enhance their productivity in prescription filling, offering a perfect complement to our software's front-end focus," explained Tammy Devine, vice president of marketing for QS/1.

"The linkage with QS/1 makes it easier than ever for our customers to get rolling with the Parata RDS," said Pete Klein, Parata's vice president of trade relations. "The compact size and design of the Parata RDS enables it to roll into stores and set up in about an hour, plugging into a standard outlet and replacing a standard shelving unit."
