Velliyur Viswesh, PharmD, BCPS

Dr. Viswesh is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Roseman University of Health Sciences. He attended the University of Arizona, where he first completed his bachelor's degree double-majoring in biochemistry and molecular, cellular biology. He then spent a year working in a research lab before proceeding to complete his PharmD, also from the University of Arizona. He further broadened his clinical expertise and interests in acute care pharmacy practice by completing a PGY1 residency, followed by a PGY2 residency in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy at the University of Arizona Medical Center-University Campus. After postgraduate training, he was an Assistant Professor at California Northstate University College of Pharmacy for 2.5 years before joining Roseman in January 2016. His areas of interest include antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics of antimicrobials, and critical care pharmacotherapy.
